Abstract
It has implemented nonlinear filters, vector directional filter (VDF) and vector median filter (VMF) by mean of two digital signal processors (DSP), which are TMS320C6711 and TMS320C6701. The nonlinear filters implemented in this paper use the distance measures Euclidean and "city block", which are applied in the color image processing with different percentage of impulsive noise. The variation of impulsive noise in images go from 5% to 30%. The results are optimal with respect to the times of adquisition, processing and storing of data because of the algorithms implemented do not require complex operations.
