Abstract :
GIS by its formidable magnanimous information inquiry ability, formidable spatial analysis ability as well as the very direct-viewing present in graphical manifestation obtained more and more widespread application in the electric power profession. In this paper, firstly, WebGIS, GeoMedia WebMap Platform, SVG, as well as DDC these technologies are analyzed thoroughly, and then a new, intelligent power grids online monitor application system based on WebGIS is built through detailed design of the system´s architecture, spatial data modeling and function modules. Following the description of key technique functions (such as Spatial Query, Real-time data display, etc), we take the real time monitoring system of Shanxi province´s intelligent power grids for example, the basic tests for each functions are conducted. The result proves that this system is practical and stable perfectly to satisfy the requirements of the platform construction of the intelligent power grids informatization.
