Abstract
This paper focuses on the development of AP (Access Points) allocation simulation programs intended to enable deployment of RTLS (Real Time Location System) in construction sites. This study aims to develop a simulation program that specifies the minimum number of APs (access points) and optimizes their locations. AP is a critical element in location-tracking systems in construction sites in reference to acquired 3D spatial data of structures under construction using terrestrial LiDAR, state-of-the-art field surveying technique. Achievement made herein will provide a platform for real-time monitoring system in construction sites that tracks locations of various construction resources (equipment, material, labor, etc.) and contributes to the improvement of efficiency and safety in construction projects.
