Abstract
A low-complexity detector for large time-hopping MIMO-UWB system is proposed in this paper. The core idea in this detector is the likelihood ascend search method which can support large number of transmit and receive antennas (on the order of tens to hundreds). Simulation results show that our detector has much lower bit error rate than the conventional MMSE detectors meanwhile the average complexity per bit increases only linearly in the number of the product of transmit and receive antennas.
