  • Abstract
The article describes the experience of modernizing the Elite Engineering Education Programme (EEEP) at Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) in accordance with the CDIO (Conceive - Design - Implement - Operate) standards, which resulted in introduction of new academic disciplines in the programme, as well as implementation of project-organized learning and educational game components in most of the programme´s disciplines. Further attention is given to the implementation of the CDIO concept outside the EEEP curriculum in the form of events aimed at shaping students´ person-centered environment.
