Abstract
The National Science Foundation (NSF) provides support for about 65% of all federal sources in basic research in civil engineering at universities in the U.S. Uncertainty modeling and analysis are important components of civil engineering research. Some 30 NSF supported projects are highlighted. Examples of current and recent research projects in civil infrastructure, such as structural engineering, earthquake engineering, wind engineering, and geotechnical engineering, are presented
