Abstract :
The Charged Plate Monitor (CPM) is commonly found throughout our industry and is commonly used for applications that it was not initially designed to be, though the information obtained by such use can be very useful. The use of the CPM for evaluating human body charging, non ionizing charge decays, Coulomb measurements, triboelectric measurements, and a simple human body discharge simulator will be reviewed. This is not meant to be a definitive paper but as a starting point for further discussion or experimenting by users of CPMs.
