Abstract
This paper reports electromechanical analysis of basic conductive textile structures designed for wearable sensors. Conductive textile structures usually exhibit two types of resistance: length resistance and contact resistance. Firstly electrical and mechanical properties of unstressed conductive yarn were investigated under practical use conditions. After that three experiments were conducted to examine resistance of single conductive yarn, two overlapped yarns and chain under unidirectional extensile forces.
