Abstract :
Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) has become one of the most growing areas of research. However, dynamism of MANET poses a number of issues in designing routing protocols for providing effective communication among mobile nodes. One important issue is mobility of nodes.Other inherent shortcomings are dynamic changes in topology due to mobility of intermediate nodes, link failure, and absence of routing infrastructure, low bandwidth and computational capacity and a stable QoS of nodes. To achieve stable QoS in an infrastructure less network, we require link stability so that uninterrupted communication can be achieved and in case of link breakage the quick re-establishment of route can be done. In this proposed work, a general framework has been implemented for achieving QoS, which provides a cluster based routing and effectively uses clustering to minimize the routing overhead and also provides QoS guarantees with an ability for localized route discovery using mobile agents.Clustering can be used for scaling the network by increasing number of nodes without much affecting on its performance. The Protocol design addresses both the issues i.e.dynamism and link failure. It also discusses quick solution in case of link failure by considering a framework.
