Abstract
A set of measurements and a set of simulations for two types of statistical models that describe a component of the power density inside a microwave reverberation chamber are presented. The first model is a probability density function (PDF) whereas the second model is a spatial correlation function (SCF). Both types of measurements and simulations are analyzed with respect to the corresponding ideal theoretical model. The functions are observed over a frequency range that allows for the conditions in the (experimental and simulated) chamber to vary from nonideal, multi-moded operation to ideal, overmoded operation in the high-frequency limit. A criterion for the low-frequency limit of chamber operation is proposed from these observations
