Abstract :
The unique copper helix TWT is developed for power CW operation in applications of communication, electronic warfare, and high power microwave test equipment. The superior thermal conductivity of copper allows substantially efficient amplification over broadband. Three BeO blocks per turn are brazed into their both sides of contact to increase heat dissipation. This paper introduces merits of helix material selection, block dielectric supports and their brazing which entails in rugged structure and high power operation
