Abstract
Chirp Pulse Microwave Computed Tomography (CP-MCT) have been applied to a real human body to visualize the physiological- or biochemical- changes in forearm muscles produced by grasping a rubber ball in saline solution bolus. By subtracting the image of the forearm obtained at rest from that of the loaded one, slight variation in the grey level is observed at the muscle region of the forearm. Although the true cause of variation is not identified at the present stage of the study, some possible causes are conceivable. To suggest appropriateness of the assumption, numerical simulation in which some parameter changes are surely reflected to the grey level variation has been attempted in this study.
