Abstract
This paper presents a new reference frame for brushless DC motor torque control, more appropriate for digital drives. This transformation is available for any type of back-EMFs and permits the regulation of constant references. The aim of the proposed algorithm is to minimize torque ripple. It has been simulated and tested experimentally and its performance is compared by simulation and experimental to that obtained using a more conventional torque control scheme
