Abstract
With human civilization moving to cities and cities having housing societies with hundreds of residents, a common problem arises and that is to distribute the shared amenities and resource´s usage bill among the residents of a housing society. Since the usage pattern of each residents is different (due to lifestyles and needs), so charging an average amount is not justified. In case where the usage of the resources is subscription based, all the subscribers of the amenity / resource should pay according to their usage. This paper discusses different methods to accurately calculate the bills for the residents (resource subscribers) for shared amenities and resources in a housing society. This paper also briefly discusses the importance of wearable devices in facilitating the authorization of the residents (resource subscribers) and collecting the resource usage information.
