Abstract
Contact-less power transference, that is, without power wires connecting the power source and the load, is a very appropriate power system for moving objects: the lack of wires avoids possible obstacles to the free movement of the load. In this paper a contact-less power supply for a low power moving load (less that 1 W) is presented. It is based on inductive coupling, and therefore the main component of the power supply is the transformer. The design and modelling process of the magnetic component is described and all the theoretical results are compared to measurements. A prototype of the power supply has also been built and tested
