Abstract :
In real time system, scheduling and synchronization protocols have been studied extensively. Task scheduling in real-time systems is a concept through which we can schedule the tasks according to their priorities. Due to the chance of system failure in hard real-time systems, the task scheduling is more important. Recently synchronization protocol, i.e., Multiprocessor Priority Ceiling Protocol becomes challenging research area in real time multiprocessor system. The Blocking time of task is caused by resource confliction among tasks with sharing resource. In this paper we have proposed a new algorithm named as “RBA”, i.e., Reduced Blocking Algorithm worksunder Multiprocessor Priority Ceiling Protocol to reduce the blocking times in real time system with task sets having shared resources.
