Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel multi-hop clustering scheme that aims to address the following concerns: effectiveness, stability, and reliability. Since cluster backbone tends to become more stable when cluster size is large, we focus on multi-hop clustering rather than one-hop clustering. Next, our paper introduces intra-connection degree as a new cluster selection metric. As a result, the reliability of mobile nodes within clusters is increased and the leaving rate is reduced by 25%. Finally, by evaluating our scheme in wide-scale networks, we show that the cluster-head ratio of our scheme is better than that of other schemes by up to 25%.
