Abstract :
This paper describes application of the Surface Integral Equation (SIE) approach to the analysis of scattering by metal structures inside uniform waveguides and cavities. The metal structures consist of a number of mixed vertical-horizontal rectangular strips. The formulation of SIE uses the full dyadic electric waveguide Green function, and the integral equation is solved by means of the Method of Moments (MoM). In our work we show a methodology for validation of this formulation. We also demonstrate effectiveness of this formulation by comparing the results of our calculations with solutions obtained by means of commercially available software, which is based on the Finite Integration Technique (FIT). The comparison shows that our approach is more effective both in terms of computer resources and time of calculations.
