Abstract
The paper contains a description of a UWB positioning system whose infrastructure is composed of pairs of anchor nodes. The system does not need synchronization network what significantly simplifies its deployment. The paper contains the description of the system architecture and discussion of anchor node functions. The location was determined with an analytical algorithm whose performance is compared to widely known Chan´s solution. The system concept was verified with the UWB positioning system demonstrator consisting of two pairs of nodes.
