Abstract
A novel wide band switched line phase shifter for the frequency range of 800MHz to 1200 MHz is proposed in this paper. Pin diodes are used for switching the signal between two transmission lines to achieve the desired phase shift. The wide band phase shift is achieved by varying the capacitance of the transmission line using pin diode to vary the capacitance which in turn alters the electrical length of the transmission line. The device is to be fabricated and tested for frequency range (800MHz-1200MHz) using FR4 substrate. The circuit shows improved return loss and reduced phase error.
