Abstract
This paper focuses on describing methodological aspects of a pilot experience resulting from the joint operation of PBL (Project-Based Learning) and Cooperative Learning in the context of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Teaching experience involves planning, implementation, evaluation and analysis of the path taken and the results of a project conducted jointly by students and teachers from two university centers of the University of the Basque Country UPV / EHU. The project focused from cooperative learning, consists of the design, implementation and functional testing of a battery charging system using solar energy. This first paper is complemented by a second one entitled "Active Methodology Applied in Engineering by PBL. II-Development", dedicated to the exhibition about the design and implementation of the prototype from the software and hardware perspectives as well as to the evaluation of this teaching experience.
