  • Abstract
For putting an accurate and uniform osmotic pressure to liposome, liposome with milli-Q water internally was formed in the sucrose solution (0-1000 mM) using the spontaneous transfer method. The majority of liposomes unexpectedly opened large hole (several micrometers) in response to the osmotic pressure, regardless of its strength, i.e., the outside concentration of sucrose, while the lag time for any response, including opening-hole, observed after the liposome formation shortened with increasing the outside sucrose concentration.
