Abstract
In this paper, minimum gain of an operator is introduced. Moreover, some of its properties are presented. It is proved that the minimum gain of a strictly proper, stable, LTI system is zero. It is also shown that the minimum gain of an operator fails to satisfy the triangular inequality. Finally, the so-called large gain theorem is stated and a new stability condition for feedback interconnection of nonlinear systems is derived.
