Abstract :
Purpose: To analyze the application values of the imaging network teaching system based on picture archive and communication system (PACS) in improvement of medical imaging teaching. Methods and procedures: An imaging network teaching system based on PACS was constructed. Forty freshmen who didn´t learn knowledge of medical imaging before were divided into two groups randomly. Group-I were taught using the imaging network teaching system based on PACS and Group-II were taught using traditional multimedia teaching method. Questionnaires and scores of film-reading were used to evaluate the effect of PACS. Results: (1) According to the questionnaire, the students in group-I thought that the teaching effect of imaging network teaching system based on PACS was better that of traditional multimedia teaching method (P=0.001). (2) The scores of group-I in film-reading was higher than those of group-II (P=0.002). Conclusion: Using the imaging network teaching system based on PACS in medical imaging teaching can improve the teaching effect in medical imaging, which was deserved to be popularized in education of medical imaging.
