Abstract
A parameter compensation method for modeling polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) is developed in this paper. This method follows the purpose of building up a PEMFC control model and optimizing its parameters. Since all data are obtained from actual operating conditions and parameter compensation are pursued from a PEMFC mathematic model, parameters which are derived through this compensation scheme have an explicit mechanistic explanation. Test and simulation results indicate that this PEMFC control model with these compensated parameters is operational and effective.
