  • Abstract
    The visualization techniques improve the power grid operation, and help the operators grasp the overall situation of the system profile. Voltage-contour is one of the advance techniques to show and help to quickly figure out the voltage violations. Nowadays, the major difficulty of voltage-contour visualization technique applied in the power grid is the image-generation-speed. The speed can´t catch up with the real-time voltage renew speed of the system. This paper discusses the interpolation algorithms. According to the feature of the main time-consuming process-interpolation and renderer, this paper proposes an improved method based on a serial of pre-treatment. The test case indicates that the method proposed not only ensures the image quality, but also significantly improves the image generation speed.
