Abstract
This paper presents a direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm in the presence of sensor mutual coupling, gain and phase uncertainties for a special nonuniform linear array (NLA). Based on our NLA model, more general linear array geometry can be exploited to improve upon estimation capacity, and the DOAs can be accurately estimated without any calibration sources. Moreover, our algorithm can also be applied to nonuniform circular array (NCA). Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.
