  • Abstract
    The article studies several prediction algorithms of digital television signals, especially the algorithm of field strength estimate appeared in ITU-R P.1546 and 1812 recommendation. The article takes a practical experimental single frequency network for instance, and then makes simulation calculation with different prediction methods. Furthermore, the author measures these signal field strengths practically. And at last, the article makes a comparison between the calculation results and the practically-measured results. From the results of comparison, the prediction methods have little effect on the plan when digital television signals cover a wide field. However, it is different when a more accurate plan is made for a single frequency network.
