Abstract :
Possible charge-of-carrier-transport mechanisms in Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of vanadyl phthalocyanine (VOPhc) are discussed. Electric field and temperature dependent charge carrier transport characteristics are presented. The conditions of creation of hot charge carriers are discussed, based on experimental and computer-simulated transport studies. Results of inelastic electron tunneling spectroscopy of VOPhc monolayers are presented, and the main electron scattering mechanisms are discussed. The energy diagram of conduction and local trapping states in VOPhc LB multilayers is also presented, based on SCLC (space-charge-limited current), photoconductivity, and photoemission measurements
