Abstract
The operation of gravimetric feeding systems is very sensitive to disturbances in the measured quantity and the system weight. Periodic disturbances from surrounding equipment and from the feeder itself have considerable influence on the achievable control accuracy. In this paper an adaptive filter structure based on Kalman filtering is presented to suppress the effect of these influences. The application of the filter in the control loop of a gravimetric feeding system is shown
