Abstract
How to estimate the value of a scientific paper is a common requirement, when we facing so many retrieved scientific papers. This paper provides a method named PaperRank for ranking scientific papers based on Google´s PageRank, which considers those factors reflecting the reading value of the papers such as content, journal, author, published time etc. The method of ranking papers also can be seen as recommendations of the papers, and related knowledge, such as important authors and important journals in the field.
