    On the basis of analyzing diagnostic problem solving, an object-oriented expert system tool for fault diagnosis (ESTFD) is presented. ESTFD has an inference mechanism combining the shallow level and the deep level, a self-learning mechanism based on deep knowledge model and a multi-faults diagnostic model based on set-covering and certainty factors
