Abstract
This paper describes a series of measurements performed to ascertain the effect of 4 inch I/O wire extensions on the conducted RF voltages measured at the I/O connector of an automobile engine controller. The measurements were made to determine if short wire extensions, incorporated for ease of repeated measurements, would have an effect on the overall measured spectrum. Initial indications showed that the RF voltages, measured without the extension wires, could differ from those measured with the extension wires by as much as 10-15 dB
