Abstract
Discrete transforms are used extensively in digital signal processing. The discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and other discrete transforms, such as discrete cosine transform (DCT), discrete Hartley transform (DHT), discrete combination Fourier transform (DCFT), real discrete Fourier transform (RDFT), have also been extensively studied and have a broad range of applications. We provide a unified framework for the above discrete transforms by developing a general discrete transform (GDT). We also propose a generalized discrete Hartley transform and give its most important properties
