Maintenance of electrical facilities of conventional line utilizing multiple inspection train

An inspection train for electric railway lines is described which is powered by a diesel engine. The inspection train is capable of conducting inspection and measurement while running at the same speed as passenger trains. It enables the comprehensive and efficient measurement of contact wire, signal/telecommunication systems and tracks through the use of video image processing technology and newly installed measurement systems which are capable of measuring new facilities. In this paper, technology introduced to the inspection train is stated, as is a method for the efficient maintenance of electrical facilities using the inspection train
