  • Abstract
The partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) technique is a circuit based formulation which is numerically equivalent to a full wave method of moments solution with Galerkin matching. In this paper, numerical improvements are made to the PEEC formulation through a partitioning scheme that increases the solution accuracy without increasing the number of unknowns. This partitioning scheme is useful in both the time and frequency domain. In addition, in the time domain, integral equation techniques have stability problems due either to the numerical technique used, or to problems created by the discrete representation of the numerical solution of the problem. This parititioning technique can be used to eliminate the instabilities due to the discrete representation of the numerical solution. This work is of particular interest when using model reduction techniques and also for time domain analysis where the late time instability is well known
