Abstract :
Electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structures have been used as a perfect reflecting substrate for many microwave millimeter-wave applications. In this work the fin line resonator with EBG was analyzed using the TTL - Transverse Transmission Line - full wave method. Compared to other full wave methods, the TTL is an efficient tool to determine the resonance frequency, making possible a significant algebraic simplification of the equations involved in the process. The new results obtained for this application and the conclusions are presented.
