Abstract :
In this paper, we present a new suboptimal filter for the cubic sensor problem. Then we use this new suboptimal filter and Yau´s method as well as the extended Kalman filter to obtain numerical solutions for the cubic sensor problem. Results show that both our new suboptimal filter and Yau´s method work very well, but the extended Kalman filter fails to give an accurate estimation for the cubic sensor problem
