Abstract
This communication is focused on a numerical and analytical study of the radiation due to a tilted magnetic dipole on a cylindrical metallic surface, with or without a dielectric coating. Using the surface-impedance model enables us to eliminate the non-physical infinite amplitude far-field in the grazing directions. Moreover, our theoretical work shows that the substrate can support leaky waves seen as sidelobes in the axial plane
