The Construction and Operation of the Informatization Platform of Shanghai Port

Under the background of world economic integration, the market competition is intense day by day. The current competition is not only competing among the products or the enterprises, but also in the level of the Government´s administrative efficiency and the soft environment of the market. As the cross-border and cross-regional flows of the capital, goods and the personnel become fast, the process of the informatization is brought up. The call for the trade facilitation is growing, which would set higher requirements on the Customs clearance efficiency and the service level of port. In this paper, for the necessity, the construction procedure, the core function as well as the operation of informatization platform were fully analyzed. A summary of its vital role and certain enlightenment on the development of Shanghai urban economy, e-commerce and e-government was presented.
