  • Abstract
Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques are used to achieve the maximum output power of a photovoltaic (PV) system. Although there are many MPPT techniques, perturb and observe (P&O) method is the most commonly used. This paper shows the improve of MPPT P&O performance even with rapidly changing irradiance conditions by applying a feedback control law into the output voltage of the PV array that feeds a step-up converter.
