Abstract
The current paper discusses a smart controller, which captures the essence of nonlinear physical system. It is proposed to make use of results of intelligence obtained out of incorporating fuzzy logic. The controller has been designed and developed using VHDL schematic editor tool and performance has been investigated by using VHDL simulator. The fuzzy-rule based controller eliminates the need to model the nonlinear system. Research and development in VLSI is now concentrating on fabricating the complete system on chip. Fuzzy logic utilizes human modeling expertise and knowledge. Also, fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic and fuzzy rules are all intuitive and easier to understand. The full paper describes about design, simulation and synthesis of the proposed smart controller and verifies the effectiveness of the design
