Abstract :
In order to get better multicast efficiency and game states synchronization in the SimMud, this paper propose an advanced AOI communications architecture based on neighbor set for MMOGs. The architecture selects neighbor set according to the heterogeneity of P2P network terminal nodes in bandwidth, computing power and memory. The neighbor set (NS) is adopted so as to utilize fully the power of nodes direct connections. Generally, the nodes which are overwhelmed by crowding in AOI can generate packet loss. Our architecture start message forwarding from different subtree of multicast tree based on neighbor set, thus load of coordinators can be lightened. The experiment results show this architecture can reduce packet loss and improve multicast efficiency. To a greater extent, this architecture guarantees the synchronization of game states.
