Abstract :
In this paper, a bi-directional inverter is designed to regulate the dc bus voltage for different types of energy sources and energy storage. Two state-space models are derived for the bi-directional inverter operated in GC mode and PFC mode, respectively. The PWM (pulse width modulation) control law is developed for the bi-directional inverter using the strategy of digital predictive current control. Computer simulation demonstrated the effectiveness of the design.
