Abstract
The rapid development of mobile e-commerce will definitely bring about the prosperity of mobile payment market. As to this emerging market, it is wise for mobile operators to give a response quickly and timely and work out their own competitive strategies. The development path of mobile payment services should draw on the experience of third party payment and transform mobile wallet into a third party payment service which can give a support to online payment and settlement between users, only in this way can mobile phone become a real mobile payment tool and be put into use by users. The following article is trying to begin with the development and competition of third party payment industry as well as the personal experience of using it, to use Michael E. Porter`s Five Competitive Strength Model to analyze the features and trends of competition in third party payment industry, and also trying to bring forward some suggestions for the Mobile operators going into the third party payment industry.
