Abstract
This paper investigates the relationships between carbon emission efficiency and economic growth in China based on the DCH hypothesis, using Chinese provincial data over 1980-2008. It is found that there is a long-run cointegrating relationship between economic them. The carbon emission efficiency based on DSBM model is improved in past years and the double convergence hypothesis is not confirmed.
