  • Abstract
This paper illustrates how to verify the proper phase shifting, how to chose limiter values, how to tune the gain, and how to evaluate the efficiency of the damping improvement, as well as how to meet the system security need to avoid aggressive PSS actions by simulations. The stabilizer used in this paper is an IEEE PSS2A type which uses dual inputs (shaft speed and unit electric power) to the PSS. Commissioning results are also presented
