Abstract :
Holography is an ideal 3D display technique, which shows us beautiful 3D images. It is hoped that 3D holo TV that is a 3D television system using holographic principle will be put to practical use. However, there are some difficulties to realize it. One of them is a capturing method under a natural light, because it required a laser light illumination in a dark room. In this paper, a new capturing method using multi-view images and the 3D holo TV that is designed by the authors are introduced. The system is possible to acquired 3D information under a natural light by using an ordinary digital camera, and displays 3D images using a holographic technique.
