Abstract
Existing, home networking protocols such as UPnP are not ready to support media streaming services among home networks. Furthermore, a home router with NAT makes it difficult to provide such home-to-home network services. Considering the constraints of real home network environments such as these, we propose a solution that offers a personal control space so that users can freely control their own home devices and remote devices on their moving UPnP-enabled networks with zero-configuration. For this, we have implemented the personal mobile A/V control point (PMCP) and the UPnP relay.
