Abstract :
A method for determination of reduced-order models (ROMs) for continuous multivariable plants is presented. The approach can be applied to stable or unstable plants with known transfer matrices or to stable plants with unknown transfer matrices. The method can be used for rapid online identification of ROMs for unknown stable multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems by utilizing the moving discrete Fourier transform (MDFT)
